You need a quota to sell ODS that you import or produce.

You can now apply for ODS quota for 2021. You must submit your declaration for quota to the Environment Agency by 15 January 2021.

You must register for an ODS account if you want to work with:

• ODS
• equipment containing ODS

When you have an account, you must apply for a quota from the Environment Agency to sell ODS that you import or produce.

You can only apply for a quota for ODS for:

• laboratory use
• analytical use
• critical uses in aircraft or military
• feedstock or to be used as a process agent

Laboratory and analytical use

You must check that anyone you are selling ODS to in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) for laboratory or analytical use has a valid laboratory ODS (LabODS) number).
